Fusing and Polishing Spares
Duplicates are never wasted. Every copy past your first of a card's finish is a spare, and spares can be fused or polished.
Fusing
Fuse 3 spares of the same rarity into one random card of a higher rarity:
- 80% of the time it's one rarity up, 17% two rarities up and 3% three, up to Legendary.
- If you're missing cards of that rarity, there's a 50% chance the result is one you don't have yet.
- Fused cards have 2× the normal chance of a special finish.
- Fusing 3 Legendary spares gives a Lost World card: 75% Legendary, 25% Mythic.
Polishing
Polishing upgrades one specific card. Open it in your collection, pick a finish, and turn 3 spare copies of it into 1 copy of the next finish up. You always keep at least one copy of each finish.
| Polish | Into |
|---|---|
| 3 × Standard | Shiny |
| 3 × Shiny | Chrome |
| 3 × Chrome | X-Ray |
| 3 × X-Ray | Glitch |
| 3 × Glitch | Galaxy |
| 3 × Galaxy | Solid Gold |
Every step multiplies, so a polished Solid Gold is a real achievement. Special finishes from packs skip steps. Seasonal finishes can't be polished.
Which should you do?
Polish the cards you love, since it's the only guaranteed way to a Galaxy or Solid Gold version. Fuse the rest, especially Commons, to fill gaps in your collection faster.
Trophies
Every set has a trophy for completing it and one for each finish, from Standard up to Solid Gold, plus the four seasonal finishes. Master trophies cover every card in a finish, all the way up to the Master Collector trophy for all 891 versions. There are 73 in all, and each one pays out free packs.
